We present Bistable Auxetic Surface Structures , a novel deployable material system based on optimized bistable auxetic cells. Such structure can be flat-fabricated from elastic sheet material, then deployed towards desired double-curved target shape by activating the mechanism of its component A unique feature is that model design in stable state. This facilitates deployment without need complex external supports or boundary constraints. introduce computational solution for inverse our Structures. Our algorithm first precomputes library cells to cover range in-plane expansion / contraction ratios, while maximizing bistability and stiffness cell ensure robust deployment. use metric distortion analysis surface compute planar fabrication state as composition best matches deformation. As each expands contracts during deployment, frustration forces equilibrium validate method with several physical prototypes.
